Finished in 2016, this custom-built home has 2,729 square feet of living space, all on one level with a ranch-style open floor plan—it’s spacious and easy to get around. It’s got a handy 2-car garage and warm in-floor hydronic heating, making it cozy and comfortable. Additional safety features include fire sprinklers and the use of fire-resistant siding and trim for extra safety. We added some stylish touches with natural malapai stone veneer accents and used locally sourced Ponderosa Pine beams, supporting local businesses. This home sits in a tree-filled HOA subdivision, blending smart design, local resources, and practical features.

The homeowners—a lively family with three kids and one parent in the IT profession—wanted a home where they could find some peace and quiet, a place to unwind and be together. They needed space that was as perfect for family time as it was for work. Delivering this dream home wasn’t without its challenges. We had to deal with tricky soil conditions and a particularly frosty winter, which made the early building stages tough, especially before we could get the foundation in.

Plus, we hit a big snag with a mistake by the building authority that we had to sort out. But the family had a clear vision, and we were determined to make it happen. The result? A beautiful home that’s more than just a place to live—it’s a sanctuary for work, play, and everything in between.
