Evan Womble

Managing Director

As a family man with a strong affinity for serving others, Evan provides the High Caliber team with the leadership and integrity that only extremely dedicated teams possess. His commitment to making a positive impact in the world touches each of our clients, resulting in an unmatched building experience that brings their home dreams to reality. He employs only individuals who display the highest level of integrity, as they are a direct reflection on who High Caliber is and what’s important to us.

Aside from being a dedicated father, husband, and employer, Evan is a third-generation home builder. He grew up under the tutelage of his father, who taught him about construction as well as the importance of integrity in business and life in general. Evan’s upbringing in the construction industry has provided him valuable experience useful to an industry professional. Though his grandfather and father advised him to “get an education, so you don’t end up in construction,” Evan’s passion for building led him to carry on his dad’s legacy and mission to make construction a better industry.

Kyle Maycumber

Operations Manager

As High Caliber’s Operations Manager, Kyle’s aim is to cultivate and foster relationships with HCC team members, clients, and subcontractors. This allows him to initiate and complete successful projects of all scopes and sizes on behalf of the clientele that HCC partners with.

Over the past two decades, Kyle has performed the full range of trades pertaining to custom home construction, specializing in both rough and finish carpentry as well as custom cabinet fabrication. His past experience also extends to high-end lumber production, road construction, and civil infrastructure. These experiences have provided him with a unique perspective of the overall construction process, informing his decision making and helping him to develop a great respect and appreciation for teammates and fellow construction professionals. On a day-to-day basis, Kyle meets with potential clients, leads the preconstruction process and serves his HCC team members in a management role.

Kyle enjoys nothing more than time with his wife and two children. An ideal vacation is spent at home with them.

Grant Bradley

Project Manager

Grant’s experience in construction began prior to his service as a Flagstaff Firefighter of 10 years. After a career-ending injury while serving our community, he returned to construction and started his own home building company, to which he devoted another decade. Missing the camaraderie and team dynamic he experienced as a firefighter, Grant joined the HCC team in the summer of 2022 as our Project Manager, knowing he was potentially giving up a company that he’d spent ten years building.

Grant brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and skill to High Caliber, and his servant heart and values align perfectly with what our team strives to embody. Grant’s responsibilities include scheduling projects, interpreting plans and creating scopes of work, procuring correct and accurate materials, and being aware of all things on each project. In his free time, he enjoys being with his wife Monica and son Wyatt, taking rides on his Harley Davidson, hunting, and playing with his pups Orion and Moses.

Tom Getty

Superintendent

A very experienced member of our team, Tom has over 40 years in the construction industry. When Tom and his wife Diane moved from Michigan in the summer of 2021 to reside on their 73-acre ranch in Seligman, their intent was to enjoy a slower pace of life and retire. Though he wasn’t looking for a job commitment after closing his own contracting business in the Upper Midwest, Tom accepted a position at High Caliber after hearing about who we are and why we exist.

Tom drives daily to and from his home in Seligman to be part of the High Caliber team. Aside from being an all-around pleasant, witty guy, he leads field activities and production on all our projects. In his off time, Tom enjoys working the farm with his bride, as well as volunteering with her at many church functions.

Claire Portillo

Administrative Assistant

Claire has been part of the team since the summer of 2020. She is a wife, mother of two (and dog mom to her pup Mia), and High Caliber’s bubbly extrovert. Her client care experience makes Claire the perfect person to undertake all of our outreach efforts as well as dialing in material selections for each of our clients’ projects, ordering materials and verifying order accuracy. She also handles all of the company’s internal administrative duties.

When Claire isn’t working, she enjoys dancing with her husband, the local live music scene, and reading a good book in her camp chair in the beautiful Northern Arizona outdoors.

Lory Arias

Accounts Manager

Wife, mother of three (including being Evan’s momma), and grandmother of nine, Lory has been adding value to High Caliber and our clients since 2012. She is responsible for receiving incoming calls, creating client invoicing, paying subcontractors and vendors, payroll for the team, initiating utility services, managing insurance, legal, and tax requirements, and keeping the mountain of documents organized for the team’s use. She has also accumulated years of experience in performing most of the trades required in building/adding on/remodeling a home through her own personal projects, so her knowledge of the overall process of home construction is quite extensive.

Lory enjoys time with her grandbabies, mountain bike riding, camping with her husband, and hiking with her pup Kali.
